Abstract

Theoretical models of phase transitions in contact structures of the Bi–Pb–Sn–Te system are presented. Isothermal sections and phase region distribution schemes for the quaternary system are provided, based on the binary phase diagrams of the constituent elements (Bi–Pb, Bi–Te, Bi–Sn, Pb–Te, Pb–Sn, Te–Sn) and four ternary systems (Bi–Pb–Te, Bi–Pb–Sn, Bi–Te–Sn, Pb–Te–Sn) derived using the inverse triangulation method. Equilibrium phase region distribution schemes were constructed for various temperatures, enabling the prediction of chemical reaction kinetics in the contact zone of thermoelectric elements.
